Hello! My name is Moona Khan and I have a MSW with Clinical Specialization. From my perspective, our well-being is comprised of many different facets. Our individual physical, social, financial, and emotional health and histories all intersect to create our lived experience. Any approach to treat and maintain our mental health should address all of these elements.
My practice is based on a client centred and eclectic clinical approach where the client is always in the driver’s seat. Along with compassion, empathy and a little humour, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution focused, strengths based, mindfulness, and trauma informed practices. I also use a spiritually infused approach with the above modalities when appropriate and desired by my client. I am fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi. As a mental health therapist, my role is to guide and support you on your road to recovery. Keep in mind that recovery is not only the destination but the journey as well.

I am specialized in a number of mental health areas such as providing supports for people looking to navigate through difficult situations, in developing more effective strategies to managing emotions such as depression, anxiety and stress.
